apparently the white version of the hrap3 comes with sanwa buttons. (i've heard) The black american version just comes with a sanwa stick and hori buttons.

The best out of the box fightstick performance is the madcatz TE fightstick as its got all sanwa components, second to that would be the HRAP 3 white (if what i've heard was true), then HRAP3 black.

For modding, if you want a good case to build off of, either the HRAP3 or the regular SFIV madcatz fightstick ($80) are direct swaps with almost no tools req'd.
