i went from d40 -> d80 -> d300 -> d60
reason you asked?
i got the d60 for traveling its a more compact camera and its a pretty good entry/mid-level camera
sorry if I cant help much but its pretty good to me I really have nothing to complain about other then d40 and d60 has no AF motor
