I like to think we bring our best to practice, at least I do, or else I don't improve. The coach lets us know if we're not putting in enough effort as well, and he can really spot it.

Not only are the metal railings horrible, but the boats don't seem any lighter than the 6/16s they replaced. But, I guess the 6/16s had to be replaced with something because they've been around since the early 90s. There simply aren't enough BUKs in the Lower Mainland for all of the races at a large festival like Alcan, which means some races are stuck with the Geminis. At least the qualifying for races is done by placement.
I guess I meant to say that when teams line up against other teams in 'practice races', most don't give their 'A' game.
