soooo.... back from pho vinh in surrey...
dukes was right, not really worth the drive unless you're from the area
got there and the restaurant was empty (given the hype from this thread, thought there'd be atleast a few tables), but that didn't stop me from trying it out
I was being typical and got the basic #1 with spring roll and a ice coffee, friends got the spicy soup based pho, etc.
Generally the only thing to really stand out for me was the soup base. It was relatively clear and very tasty compared to most pho places in the GVRD. Spring roll was a little overfried but otherwise decent (although small), and the coffee was just...well, coffee :P (dissapointed i didn't get to watch it filter and mix by myself though

).
Overall, my friends and I agree that the soup is worth going for, as long as you're in the area - but its being given too much credit from all the hype.
