NY to LA in 17 hrs would be awesome! Flying non-direct takes 7-9 hrs, add 2 hrs with airport security and baggage. So its about twice the time, yet if it was 1/2 the cost it'd convince more people to be mobile, something that built North America yet mobility has eroded over time.
