Unfortunately Obama and Harper will spend Billions to ensure it does, cause there's too many influential GM stock share holders that want some of their money back.
Read Ayn Rands "Atlas Shrugged", I see a similar storyline playing out with GM and the Obama administration.
OT: The Volt seems a sure thing to get federal subsidizing now, why would a government owned company not subsidize its own product to increase sales? Despite the Volt being an inferior product that even with subsidizing is overpriced, a plug-in Prius will still perform better and cost less (and the new styling isn't that hideous).
