They still do at most restaurants for Dim sum and Dinners. Plus they bring in these pre meal snacks automatically then they charge you for it even if you don't eat it. Nowadays, Tips seems like a mandatory thing but in fact it isn't. You can go to other countries like Japan and they don't
usually take tips. Oh and I'm not being cheap...lol
