Im not sure, but I think this was used as an observatory before. Not sure why it's still there, but it definitely was an interesting structure once we took the short but very bumpy road to the higher observation point of Volcan Irazu.
The funny thing about it is it didn't provide a very good view....that and it had started to cloud over a lot, so this is what we saw....
The 11-16 amazingly does pretty good for closeups too....
