Tom Cruise was pretty good, but the son was a snotty dickbag. When he says something like "If you were a man you'd go back and fight them" I pretty much gave up at that point because he was trying way too hard.
And did they have to make Dakota Fanning go from
1) Whining about stupid shit like "low blood sugar" and "her back problems if she doesn't sleep on her own mattress"
2) Screaming like her face was on fire
3) Acting catatonic.
If she had done each of these things once during the movie I could accept that. I could over look it because the rest of the movie was cinematically well done and it was a good modernization of the story.
But this was every time she was on screen. She ruined every moment she was on camera.
