my opinions of the sedins -

Can they play without each other? Answer : No. So that really makes life difficult if you wanted to trade 1 or the other, they always have to be in a package. That what makes the 7million contracts they "deserve" not very valid.

Can Anyone else that's worth 7million play with OTHER players and play just as well? 90% yes.

Can the sedins STILL rack up the points without each other? 70% No. They would be very average players.

Thats my feeling why the money is better spend else where. You'll always need a trio/duo for a top #1 line, but then these 2 can never be traded apart like, Heatley, Spezza. Or St.Louis and Levaclair, malkin and crosby, backstrom and overchkin.

The list goes on. They aren't 2 individual players they are 2 in 1.

When together they are 2.35 of 2 players, but when they are seperated they are 0.75 of 1 player.

Not worth the deal.
