i took mine in a 5spd and had zero problems. I asked my examiner what he preferred or expected before we started when he asks if you have questions. He told me that he didn't mind me being in neutral at a red light but you MUST be in gear otherwise. ie. no coasting around corners in neutral.

Just drive like a cop was following you the whole time. Follow the rules of the road. Easy on the gas and brake. Check your blindspots / mirrors often. Use your signals! Whatever you do do NOT palm the wheel. Two hands all the time, hand over hand on turns!

If you've been driving with your N for awhile you should have no problem.

For the week prior to my test i drove everyday like i was on my test for that week. I have a bad habit of one hand on the wheel one on my shifter so my practice week broke me of that.

Run some of your questions past your examiner and clarify what you are unsure of BEFORE you start. They won't answer anything once you've begun.
