Just like when Kesler got his offer sheet amount, he was definitely over paid. But when he signed his new contract shortly after it was back to market price. So things have a way of working themselves out. I'm sure he was getting paid more than some of the Canucks at that time too.

I think he's referring to Bern getting a new contract with us willingly offering him $2m/season for the next 2 years and not the 2mill he got last season.
