Just like when Kesler got his offer sheet amount, he was definitely over paid. But when he signed his new contract shortly after it was back to market price. So things have a way of working themselves out. I'm sure he was getting paid more than some of the Canucks at that time too.

I just hope Gillis is able to work something out with Wellwood and keep him. I think Wellwood is a good player, but just needs a chance to play with decent ice time with guys who do not have hands of stone like Pyatt.
My guess is Pyatt will go unsigned and end up playing in Europe or hanging up the skates.
