His TV is only 720P capable....so outputing 1080P isn't technically needed.
I'd say the less he can spend the better. He's not cheap, but really not into computers. He only goes online to play facebook games and look online to find things to buy. He was thinking he would need to spend like 500+....but I told him for his type of use it's not needed. His existing computer(s) cannot even run those facebook flash games smoothly.
