6,000 of the 11,000 evacuees were allowed to go home today. Latest unofficial word is only three homes lost (two of them belong to employees of the nearby mill, while they were fighting to protect the mill), and a dozen or so "structures" (which could be barns, garages, woodsheds, outhouses, even motorhomes).
