lulz. The A/C compressors cycles on and off with the aid of a clutch mechanism (unrelated to your transmission). It is inherent to how it works. godwin is saying it's either the a/c compressor clutch or a/c belt that is making noises.
30secs is probably not enough to see either of those fans turn on. Let it idle @ normal temps, for about 5 mins and you'll probably see at least one of those fans turn on. To guarantee it to turn on, apply throttle to about 2000rpm or 2500rpm, or whatever you want, as long as it's 2000 and above and the fans should come on at least once within a 5 min period (given that you've turned on your a/c, that is the only time the a/c fan will turn on.).
