Streaming to PS3 on Windows 7 (via WMP12)

has anyone successfully set up Windows Media Player 12 (WMP12) to share media to a ps3?

i was able to share a library no problem back in Vista and WMP11, but for some reason i can't do this on Windows 7.

i allowed my media to be streamed to "Everyone" group and also allowed all computers on the"Entire Network" to be able to for media sharing.

The only thing my PS3 detects when i view all Video folders is the sample video in my "public" folder (cusers\public)

surely there i must be able to share a different drive as i previously was, right?

oh, and please don't suggest PS3 media server or traversty as I heard WMP12 is a lot better now than b4 and is adequate for me.

thanks in advance!
