Yeah, as said before, a lot depends on your budget. But there are a lot of good options that won't blow your bank account.

Although it's tough to beat a full coilover set up, you can always buy a set of lowering springs as well as a decent set of shock/struts. This is what I did. I went with an H&R spring, and the KYB AGX adjustable shocks. I'm happy with the set up, and the cost was quite a bit less than a full coilover.

However, next time I'm going to go with a full coilover set, most likely H&R It's definately nice to have the option to raise and lower your car as you want to. Good luck!
