He was a billionaire from .com com/tech age. The guy just piled money into the canucks and was TOO trusting of the basketball and hockey operations. Kind of Mark Cuban during his first few years as a Mavs owner. Keep in mind, he agreed to give Bryant Reeves a 7 year $60m contract because the all-knowledgeable Stu Jackson said so. He was losing 10-20million a year as well. IMO, the one who saved the Canucks and kept it here in Vancouver for as long as it did from the mid 90s.
