I wouldn't mention the too expensive thing to them, but if you say you are having to spend more time with the cat who had surgery and don't have the time for her I'm sure they would be willing to help you find a home for her.

hmm..thank you for the advise...though i would keep this as my last resources
i really would like to find another loving home for her other than give it to the shelters.
i guess it just takes time for the right person to come along
