He didn't want Balsillie to take the Coyotes because there is a huge market in Hamilton.
The whole reason the NHL fought so hard to do that was the price tag they'd stick on a Hamilton expansion franchise. Bob McKenzie was saying how an expansion team license for Hamilton could be sold for $400-$500 mill.
