On a related note, I decided to use the copy I got from Amazon instead of downloading professional through the student deal (nothing I would use in pro anyway). I expected to have to A) install windows xp before I could "upgrade" to windows 7 or B) input the windows XP disc to verify I had a legit prior OS to upgrade from. Instead I installed from the Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Upgrade disc without ever having to use the XP disc. I was previously using the RC1 and did a clean install so there was no record of a prior OS on the drive. I guess the "upgrade" concept turned out different than people expected.
I'll save the student deal for when I get home to Vancouver and install it on my secondary rig there. Hopefully the deal sticks around for a few months.
