I was able to burn out the 64bit iso, boot off the DVD and do a clean install on a brand new HD.
Is that the one from the link above? i think thats the same one i downloaded. i popped it in windows and nothing happend cept for the black dos cmd box. Fuk i shoulda rebooted with it in it. I threw it out at my last hotel fuk. lol have to download it again. thnx though. Also does the Win7 dvd give an option to format the partition like how the XP dvd does when you boot off it? I tried the demo version and i had to format with the xp disk, then reboot before it copied the xp files on and pop in the win7 disk to install as the win7 didnt offer the format option.

yea its the OEM version, it'll lock to the mobo, or lock to something. Not sure what happens if your mobo gets struck by lighting and you get a new mobo, i'm guessing if you call microsoft under those circumstances they'll reactivate the serial for you.
