If you just switched yesterday, it could take some time for your account to be provisioned before you'll see the new speeds.

IIRC, cable modems download a config file from something called a Cable Modem Termination System, which directs the cable modem on how to operate. 1 way to force the cable modem to download a new config file from the CMTS could be to unplug the modem, coax and all, and replug it back in.

Also, if the computer you're doing the speedtest from is on a wireless network, that could also affect your speeds.
