I have never put a muzzle on any of my dogs,I never will too.If your walking your dog and it's muzzled, what if a dog came out of nowhere and started attacking your dog? if it's muzzled, how else is it suppose to defend itself.
A few months ago I was walking my dog with a friend and her dog around the Brentwood area in Burnaby, out of nowhere this dog came out, sniffed my dog, then attacked it,I kicked this dog hard, then it backed off, went to go for my friends dog,but took one look at how vicious she was on the leash and decided it wanted nothing to do with it.You just never know what could happen,I always put a collar with huge spikes on my dog, plus I also carry a knife in my pocket just incase.
Just so you and others with pitbulls know, our Premier Gordon Campbell got rid of the dangerous dog act a few years ago, pitbulls do not need to be muzzled now.
I highly recommend you get a spike collar,it's not just for looks, but to help protect your dogs neck from dog bites.
