no it does not work in the other computer, did the same thing as when it was in mine, just comes up with no display although the fan still works on it

tonight i installed the new 4870, so far so good i added 2 fans inside the case and with the new heatsink the temps should be much lower now

I inspected my MB throughly and i did not see any capacitors with signs of wear, exploding, etc. they all looked perfect

is there anything i can do to test the motherboard? also if the MB was the problem [although the PSU seems to have been the main culprit] do you guys think anything could potentially happen to my new video card?

i appreciate all your guys help very much, my computer looks totally different inside now and it's stepped up quite a bit performance wise
