The calculus is not hard. I think everyone can agree on that one. But when you are given functions that you have not seen in class, notes, in the book, then we have a problem.
I absolutely loved how he got RAPED today in class trying to solve his own problem. Felt so good to see him angry and fustrated. His wife is horrific as well.
I hope SFU tells him to concentrate on publishing papers and leave the teaching to someone else.
