Buddy, you misunderstood me.

and I use to work in a call center, so I obviously know being a prick won't work.
The normal customer service rep however doesn't have any power to offer you any sort of retention plan. They can pretty much just offer you what's on the site, with very little leeway. If they determine you ARE sincere in that you wish to cancel or that the account is in risk of being lost to a competitor, they will transfer you to another department with reps trained to negotiate a plan that'll make you stay with their company.
