Both K2 and Burton are good brands, i'm not too familliar which one of the four is "better" than the other since i dont know the details, but they shouldnt be too different. Ive got a K2 myself

As for tips,
I would say if you're boarding for the first time/buying for first time don't spend to much on the equipment, just enough that it's not shitty because boards arent like cars, you buy and you keep riding it. Especially beginners, once you've stepped up a few notches you're gonna want to buy a better board, different flex and longer or whatnot.
I've switched up my gear almost every other year, new bindings and new boots on yr, and board another year so it recycles really quickly if you're really into it. All my friends are like that too, those who got upgrades last yr switched up a few things this yr too, so, just focus on learning the basics first =)
