It appears that Theo Fleury is not very happy with the Calgary Flames.

According to a report by Eric Francis in the Calgary Sun, Fleury posted some critical comments about the team on his personal website before pulling the statement down on Wednesday because he reportedly said "it wasn't worth the headache."

The report says that Fleury believed that his performance at Calgary's training camp last fall during his comeback attempt should have been enough for him to make the squad.

"At one hundred and eighty pounds, I finished 11th out of 56 guys at camp in the fitness test and scored a historic shootout goal in an exhibition game after being out of hockey for six years," Fleury reportedly wrote. "What does that say about the talent level in the NHL? 4 points and a plus 4 rating in four exhibition games and I get cut. What a joke! Craig Conroy goes the first 37 games of the season with zero goals. I wonder how many I would have had?

"Even with all the stupid people that run the game of hockey, it's still a great game. Go figure," added Fleury in the posting.

The report also says that Fleury predicts that the Flames will lose in the first round of the playoffs for the second year in a row. Fleury also reportedly wrote that Calgary should "trade Robyn Regehr and finally get someone for Iggy to play with."

Francis suggested in his story that by ripping the team, Fleury may have damaged or delayed opportunities that he might have had of some day working for the club, and eventually of having his number retired by the team.

Francis was able to reach Fleury by phone to ask about his comments, to which Fleury replied, "My intention wasn't to hurt anybody -- I have an opinion like everybody else."

"Do I feel the same way today? Maybe not. Thing is, why should I get heat? I have nothing to do with hockey anymore," Fleury reportedly told Francis.

When reached by Francis, Conroy reportedly responded, "I don't want to rip Theo because I like him. I'm a little disappointed, but he has the right to say what he thinks. I just wish he made it so we could see how many goals he'd have scored on the third or fourth line."
