Ok guys, after about two-three weeks of research, I've finally decided against the T1i (which I originally was going to get) and go for the D5000. The reasons for me was that

1) Felt better in my hand
2) I like the more introductory interface, with plenty of explanation for each setting
3) Nikon has the 2year body and 5 year lens warranty whereas Canon only has 1 year for both

However, along this way there is certain downsides such as
1) I don't get to use awesome Canon lens
2) I'm looking to buy the two lens combo, and for the direct competition, the canon lens would've been 300mm while the nikon lens is only going to be 200mm
3) All D5000 are currently sold out!

Do you guys know where they are offering sales on D5000's with two lens combo sales? Future Shop has one with the 200mm lens @ 999.99$ which I think is a pretty good deal, but they are still currently out of stock

Edit: Does camera places (or FS) do cash sales OR would I be able to talk down prices (even on sale) OR would I be able to levy for memory cards/bags/tripod/filters?
