There is an actual technique to soldering something.
Just don't overheat the board or you might cause more damage. If you're soldering something small make sure to get a fine tipped soldering gun and adjust the heat to a lower setting. I'd suggest bringing it in if you're soldering a tiny contact. That actually requires some proper skill.
If you don't have stable hands, and aren't tool savvy then just bring it to someone to have it done. At least if they fuck up, you can blame them. I've had people bring shit in they attempted to fix themselves and they melted the board and joined a couple points that weren't suppose to connected.
