I am pretty sure they do, some staffs might try to make up some excuse, but if you look at their pm policy, it never mentions anything about not PMing due to costs...etc
I also price matched a G25 wheels at bestbuy few months ago and got it for $160, (BB was selling it for over $300), the staffs said it was way below costs and I wouldn't be surprised if it is.
back to the topic:
NCIX is probably bigger than most mom&pop computer stores, but it is still a small private company. They are not going to do anything that is unprofitable.
Moreover, their price match policy is totally to their advantage. They have the right to deny any price match (stated in their policy), and I believe you can only pm BEFORE you place the order, not after you place the order, so it is simply a way for them to make more sales from cust. who would otherwise buy from elsewhere.
Big box stores on the other hand have almost unconditional price match policy as a marketing methods...a way of telling ppl "we have great prices", (most of us will probably disagree...) so they can attract more customers who find it convenient to shop there.
In reality, no companies, big or small put up price match policy for the customers' benefit.
