where did u hear this from? i've been with shaw since rogers days (so 8+ years of cable internet), and the only downtimes that i get r either from power outages, or maintenance/hardware upgrade in which they provide adequate notice to u, and maybe the once a year disconnect (but usually back within 10-30mins and usually occurs late late at night, arnd 3am)

and if you require wireless you have to pay more correct? i'm with telus right now, and we're moving. and i was looking to shaw cable...cause we need a change. so if it's cheaper we can just get the whole bundle
