I just bought a pair of these from Newegg.
At NCIX, you can buy the "dead pixel warranty" which basically lets you return up to 3 times if you find dead pixels. I doubt either store will let you sit there and open up box after box checking the monitors though.

I've seen a few EyeFinity setups on Hardforums. Looks pretty promising. Make sure you buy a monitor that supports Displayport if you want to go tri-monitor though. The only thing I'd say is if you want to go portrait mode on a triple monitor setup, skip the TN panel monitors. The limited viewing angle may be more of a problem in portrait mode.
