The Flames still hold onto 8th spot in the conference. Aside from the Wings no one below them are really making a push right now for that 8th spot. The Flames seemed to address there secondary scoring problem.... on paper anyways. A lock? Probably not but their chances have gotten alot better
And sure their primary scoring is lacking right now but an Elite player like Iginla... it shouldnt last very long. But me being a Flame hater i hope it does

No push from below? The Blues have been playing pretty good of late and are crawling up the standings and same go for the Wild so as of now the Flames really aren't in good shape because they're barely holding onto 8th spot and they've pissed away valuable points during their losing streak.
