I've got my 15" laptop (too small!) and a 23.6" display, the big guy seems almost too big as I can have a hard time reading text on it unless I sit close, but this could be due to everything being cranked down to maximize space on the laptop. The key thing with this display though is that it's 1920x1080 (1080p) and has HDMI in with built in speakers (shit) and audio out (awesome). Works great with a PS3 for gaming. After having it for a few months though I can see why people go with a 27 or so though.
When I replace my desktop I'm gonna go with this 23.6" as the main screen, and one or two smaller displays on the sides for MSN/email/media player while gaming. (gonna try to get small ones so that when rotated 90 degrees it matches the height of the 23.6).
