It's been said before, but I agree, a lot of the protesters are just a bunch of attention-seeking morons who have nothing better to do with their "Arts" degrees. They're reasons for protesting heavily imply that all the money spent on the Olympics will solve poverty in the Lower Mainland forever. Forever? What about 15-20 years (or less) down the road when the money has dried up? What will the homeless people at the time do? It's all back to square one with nothing left to show for it. However, I do acknowledge that it's entirely possible to argue the other side based on the usefulness of the venues after the Olympics.

I'm in a single-parent family with an income barely above the poverty line, but my family lives a relatively comfortable life despite not being able to do as much as other people I know, my mother tries to compromise. It's not necessary, but nonetheless, I understand that those true homeless people have run into issues that put them into their situations. It's the retard organizers that make me hate the protesters.
