It would be kind of neat for some official to go public and send a message to these people. Wording would have to be just right. Something along the lines that Vancouver has had a long history of promoting free speech and encouraging its citizens to voice opposition. Then say something about this is the time to celebrate our fine city and........ blah, blah, blah. I honestly don't think people get it.
I would think with all the social networking shit out there, something can be done at the grass roots level to make these misguided souls understand that what they are doing is downright embarrassing. Not just for us, but for them as well. I don't know....... this is beyond me. My generation didn't have all this technology. We just sent smoke signals up in the air.
