Why would he have 2 court dates? If he just got a 24 hour and a ticket the only way he'd have a court date is if he disputed it.
Sounds like he was charged with impaired driving. I'd get a lawyer if I were him. At least when I learned my lesson it only cost me $200
And I stress,
learned my lesson - I don't drive after a couple drinks anymore.
