One thing that people seem to agree on is looking for a netbook with good resolution. Personally, I'm looking for a 10.1" netbook with a resolution of 1366x768. That and a 6 cell battery as this is for my gf who won't really be doing much other than word processing / browsing. |

Yes, didn't realize u can't change the wallpaper until got 2 of the starter edition. That's stupid. wallpaper is something so basic, why cripple that?
I got a VAIO W for my wife in Seattle Premium outlet 2 weeks ago. It's the old N280 (but brand new sealed). it has 1280x768, 8 hours battery, bluetooth, 250GB HD, a/b/g/n for $350 + a free refurbished Webbie camera (youtube friendly camera worth $80). Not too bad for previous generation. Futureshop was trying to clear it out at $400~450 and no freebie.
