I've never understood the complaint about multitasking.
On my home rig I'll often have numerous programs open when doing work. Multiple tabs in IE, Firefox connected to the federal government database, Word and Excel documents and Photoshop to edit and adjust pics prior to publishing.
Yet none of this requires multitasking. None of these programs are doing anything when my focus is away and on another task.
The only time my machine does any real multitasking is when I'm encoding video or ripping Blu-Rays in the background.
Now I'd love for someone to explain a valid reason I want multitasking on my iPhone. And be specific - I want an example of something useful my iPhone can be doing in the background that's going to make my life far more productive. Cuz honestly, I can't come up with a single app that I'd want to be working in the background.
