i have a phenom 955 with an old 8800GS 384mb and i'm running it at high. check the battlefield forums and such and it's unanimous that quad cores are almost necessary for decent fps.

if you get a decent cpu like a 955/i5, you could get away with a 4770 for your vid card, or even 9800GT.


also be aware you can get certain amd chips with 2/3 cores and unlock the 4th. do some research on that, it's pretty sweet as you essentially get a quad core for a super low price. i contemplated this, but didn't want to risk it.
