ahhh ... now we know what you want to achieve, and $$$ is almost no object (at least to prove your Dad wrong!).
Not 100% sure if there is a commercial product you can buy off the shelf but there are devices that will boost the voltage.
There are DC-DC converters that will "boost or step-up" the voltage, and circuts that use boost converter IC's (

http://www.murata-ps.com/data/power/...0wa-series.pdf but will probably run you about $100 but you still need to add the wires.
