if you're looking for a general rule before you lift heavy weights -- warm up
if you want to get serious you need to progressively lift more and more heavy weight
btw, anyone who can lift an crazy amount i can guaruntee you has lots of muscle tissue and accumulated that from lifting heavy.. no scar tissue here
