What you're referring to is called QoS (quality of service).

For consumer routers the only way to tell it to prioritize one type of internet traffic over the other is based on which port a program is communicating on.

Usually browsing over the internet is on port 80, and secure internet (https) is 443. So if you can tell your router to prioritize traffic on port 80 over any other port, it should improve your web browsing/media streaming. As long as your streaming media through a browser, if not, you'll have to determine which port your streaming app is using.

If you still can't find it, your router may not support it, post up the model.
