Like I said, he makes mistakes, but who doesn't, and who are you going to replace him with at his salary and production? Rather than saying, "he was horrible," maybe you should come up with a better argument. You may not "care" if he scores 40 points a season but you are just being ignorant if you think that doesn't affect the success of our team. You have to replace, or at least offset that somehow.

If Kevin Bieksa is your 5th Dman, at 3.75, he could be traded to get help up front. Of course, depth has been an issue with our blueline so he might stay. I dont think Bieksa is really high up on the trade priority for the canucks, or the asking price is too high for him.
Bieksa gives the puck away as bad as Edler does, his "risk" taking when pinching in has been a liability all season long. the so called "shut down" he brings has been lackluster for 2 seasons now as well.
HOWEVER, with that said, I honestly do not mind him staying with the squad as the 5th option.
