"consider replacing your battery" problem

Does anyone else have this problem with Win7?

i was using my laptop M6864FX without it plugged in one day and then it died so i went to charge it up. I noticed the battery icon had an X beside it and it said "(Charging) Consider replacing your battery". I googled this problem and apparently hundreds of people also have this problem... unfortunately no one has an answer to fix this other than actually replacing your battery even though its still in great condition. i think its just a win7 bug/glitch and nothing is actually wrong with the battery but the laptop thinks it does.
