Yes, it would be advisable to call Shaw to see if they can match, if not, beat Telus' offer. You won't know until you try and I believe there was an old thread (maybe 1 year old?) where an RS member successfully bargained over the phone with Shaw.
Lately, I've been getting a letter each month from Shaw asking us to switch back. I would but unfortunately, I signed a 3-year term with the Devil...I mean...Telus.
