‘Original Sweater’
Canucks alternate captain and recipient of the 2009.10 Art Ross and Hart Trophies, Henrik Sedin, unveiled in a video presentation the ‘original sweater’ from 1970 that the club will wear several times this season. The Canucks will wear the sweater, originally designed by Joe Borovich, on opening night when they host the Los Angeles Kings on October 9th. The sweater which features the ‘Stick and Rink’ logo on the chest is white with blue and green accents. The ‘original sweater’ worn by the club in their inaugural season also features a large ‘V’ for Vancouver on each sleeve with only the player number on the back and no name bar.
The Canucks also unveiled the 40th mark that will be worn on their 'original sweater', as a helmet decal and at centre ice at Rogers Arena all season long.
